here are dylan and jim from this week sitting on a giant bear ice chair. (please take notice of ice-elvis in the top right corner.) how cute is jim carrying her in that baby sling?
we may not have a coffee shop that is open past five, a thai or indian restaurant (or anything really that doesn't serve either sandwiches or expensive steaks), or much of a local economy for anyone not in business for herself, but we have ice sculpture! and kettle corn. things could be worse.

I love daddies with slings! My husband is an Ergo man the whole way, though.
The ice fest looks like fun. I don't think I live where you do though. Late afternoon coffee shop visits are my current weakness.
You are right. I think the ice sculptures make your town pretty cool! And I was a sling wearing mama too.
Did he get a cold butt? ;)
What neat sculptures! I have had fun in the last couple years making sculptures by using molds but they don't really compare with the ones that are carved! I love the chair.
I think our town should do that. We have plenty of cold to keep them for all winter. :-)
Baby-wearing daddies are very cute, my DH wears DS in our Ergo every chance he gets.
I've never lived anywhere it gets cold enough to snow so ice sculptures would be a complete novelty to me.
As I type I'm sitting in a singlet top as it's 77 degrees F at 9.20am.
Going to be a warm one today.
Very cool!
So cute! Baby and Daddy! How many ice sculptures are there ? Can you watch them do their art or are they brought in already complete? I'd love to see it some time.
